The Award Committee of the "CEE Fundraising Achievement Award 2005" has accomplished its work. During the application period 25 applications were received from 9 countries, and the panel of jurors made their final decision.
The Award Committee of the "CEE Fundraising Achievement Award 2005" has accomplished its work. During the application period 25 applications were received from 9 countries, and the panel of jurors made their final decision.
The winner of the main award became the Donetsk City Charitable Foundation "DOBROTA" (Ukraine) with their highly effective FR campaign ("Everyone can be a philanthropist"). They mobilized a whole community with wide range of FR techniques.
Besides the main prize, three applicants received special prizes:
- The winner of the Audience Award is the Croatian Guide Dog and Mobility Association, with their campaign: "Without a guide dog, all streets are blind".
- The REX Dog Shelter Foundation (Hungary) received the "Brand building via FR" special prize for their "The Pet is not a Toy" campaign.
- The "Most innovative use of new media" prize was won by the Bulgarian Red Cross ("Care Partners Network").
- The Award Committee gave two applicants the highly commanded status: the Bosnian Handicrafts ("Shopping with purpose") and the Hospice "Casa Sperantei" from Romania ("The Edelweiss Week").
The following 8 applicants were awarded a certificate from the Committee:
- Center for Rural Assistance (Romania)
- Erőforrás Foundation United Way Hungary
- Habitat for Humanity Magyarország Alapítvány (Hungary)
- Helping Hand Foundation of Nyírség (Hungary)
- Path to Life Medical Rehabilitation and Therapy Center (Ukraine)
- Polish Scouting Assocation (Poland)
- The Foundation for Childbirth with Dignity (Poland)
- WWF Hungary
The prizes were given to the winners at the Award Ceremony held as the closing event of the 10th Central and Eastern European Fundraising Workshop in Budapest on 11th November 2005.
